The iPhone Crazies

As everyone should know by now, Pete started a new job this week. In his first two days on the job, they gave him a shiny new Macbook & iPhone to use. Esme had been talking about succumbing to the itch & getting one herself for months now, & she quickly followed suit.

What has transpired since is nothing short of comedy. Pete & Esme sitting around playing on their iPhones. It's a small miracle neither of them have walked into a telephone pole or gotten hit by a bus this week. Yes, it looks like we are quickly becoming two of "those people".

In our defense, though, MAN those iPhones are cool! We've been downloading apps like crazy, & our favorite by far is Hipstamatic. It's an unfortunate name for an iphone app, to say the least. What's so hipstery about photography?! Ansel Adams would spin in his cold grave if he knew about this.

This app is SERIOUSLY cool. You can change between 6 lenses, 7 flashes, & 8 types of film with the flick of a finger. That's a whopping 336 potential combinations! The best part is that your photos look like they were pulled straight out from under an enlarger in a small red-lit room somewhere, without having to actually track down any of the equipment. How else can you come across a small photo arsenal in under a minute?

The timing of our newest obsession couldn't be more perfect, too. Pete opened his email this morning only to see that his daily Photojojo email newsletter was a handy guide to the Hipstamatic Program. Got an iPhone? Go download the app & use Photojojo's guide as your cheat sheet. Just make sure you share your pictures with us when you're done!

Here are a few that Esme took yesterday.
