Tee Gee Eye Eff!

GOSH! We have been quiet this week! Pete & I have had a busy workweek & totally neglected our reader(s?)!!! We have so much to say & share, so many fun weekend stuffs pics & interesting articles, it's a shame when real life gets in the way, isn't it?!

How do you like the new banner pic? Our cute-as-a-button friend, Elizabeth Ray, was kind enough to take a few photos of the silly tigers around SF last weekend. It felt almost like a mini engagement shoot! & since we didn't want to spoil ourselves for when we actually do take engagement shots (*ahem*...) we decided to go with the feets pic :)  Thank you, Eray!

Here's a couple of our favorites + a funny pic of Pete. Have a grrrrreat weekend!

1,000+

Hi, Friends,

Happy Monday…? (we’re trying over here, but we’re running on 4 hours of sleep and scattered brains.)
We’ve been quiet on the ol’ internets this weekend. We mentioned last week that Pete was out of town for a wedding, & Esme was catching up with friends & movies while he was gone. I know it’s kind of abnormal, but we haven’t been apart very many nights since we started dating (& especially not since we’ve been living together), so we were missin’ on each other pretty hard!

After a wee break from posting, we came back to notice that our little Bloggie has been visited over 1,000 times! This is quite a surprise, and one that makes us super duper happy, because it’s not just US and our PARENTS looking at this thing! In fact, the irony is -- even though we started the blog for our family to feel connected to us from afar, I don’t think either set even looks at it!

I know, I know…it’s not like, a MILLION like some of our talented writer friends, & it seems these days everyone, and their dog (literally, in some cases), has a blog. But for having no expectations when we started posting (Esme had never had a blog before & was quite apprehensive, & Pete was a devout "LiveJournalist"), we are just so pleased that people visit us! And we ESPECIALLY love it when friends come up to us and tell us how much they like ‘Yr Face’ (Thank you, Melanie + Rick! I wish I could have met you, too.)!!

So, Thank You, friends (maybe family?), anonymous viewers, folks who happen to stumble upon us from another URL, friends of friends and our faithful followers! We are just so happy our little life makes you happy, too!

Let’s make a deal – we’ll keep writing if you keep reading, kay?

We’ll also be back later with pics from our respective weekends.

Lots of Love,

P+E

What's the Deal With "Tiger Attack Twins"?!

By now, some of you have probably wondered WTF is up with the name of our blog. It seems pretty random, doesn't it? We'll be honest with you...it IS pretty random.

A few years back there was a magical tiger. We'll call her Tatiana, mostly because that was her real name. This magical tiger lived in a zoo here in San Francisco. One day right around Christmastime, a few drunk & stoned teenagers started taunting her & throwing beer bottles into her grotto. I don't know about ya'll, but when fools start tossing their trash into OUR grotto, we're not too thrilled about it either. Tatiana reacted no differently than any rational jungle cat would've. She jumped out & laid the smack down on those kids. Honestly, she kind of overdid it a bit, & consequently, one of them died. I'm not saying the kid deserved it, but the Darwin Awards exist for these types of situations. Unfortunately, police arrived on the scene only to find a large, seriously pissed off tiger covered in human blood hovering over the two remaining ne'er-do-wells, who were injured, & terribly frightened (needless to say). So, they shot & killed her. What were they supposed to do? It had to be done. Tatiana Never Forget. A moment of silence, please...

Anyway, about a week before we created this blog, the two survivors of the tiger attack were back in the news again. They've amounted quite a rap sheet since then, & petty, small-time crimes are exponentially more newsworthy when you're those damn kids who got attacked by Tatiana. So, we were having a conversation about them, & one of us referred to them as the Tiger Attack Twins. They're brothers, not twins, it's just got a nice ring to it is all. Esme then suggested that "Tiger Attack Twins" would make a great name for a band. Something dancey, something punky. I wholly agreed. A few days later we decided to start a blog. Lacking relevant material, we went with the old stand-by: Identify an inside joke & roll with it.

Recently, we found this t-shirt & became obsessed with it. Someone buy this for us please.
It bears repeating...Tatiana Never Forget.

WELCOME!

Apologies for the all-caps. We don’t typically yell at people for whom we open the front door. We’re just really excited about this!! Actually, allow us to re-type that out & convey the level of excitement. WE’RE JUST REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!111!1ONE

We are Pete + Esme, or Esme + Pete, or Petesme or whatever…
We wanted to give a glimpse into our crazy brains & share our journey as we start this chapter together.

Lightning-quick background on us…
Pete: Libra, loves photography, has a LOT of ties, perpetually distracted, kind-hearted, ridiculous, hilarious & full of big, crazy ideas.

Esme: Cancer, loves singing showtunes (especially made-up ones), sweet, salty, painfully cute & silly.

Pete + Esme together: think…The Honeymooners meets the cutest twee pop duo ever created (“To da MOON, Alice…& when we get there, we’ll snuggle”). When Pete met Esme, he cornered her at a party & talked her ear off about their mutual affinity for music all night. He says: I wouldn’t leave her alone. She says: I didn’t want him to leave. AAAANNND the rest is history! Just shy of a year, P+E are living together and…*gasp* starting a blog!!!

Read, listen, look & love…on us!!
