Happy Weekend!

Hey Hey, Easter Bunnies!

It's gonna be a super busy, fun, productive weekend at TAT HQ (soon relocating to Oakland)! Tonight is our buddy Mike G.'s bday party, & We can't wait to purge some treasures at our sidewalk sale tomorrow. Please stop by for a Hello and a beer, if you're in SF!

Have a great one, friends!

Engraged & The Newest Addition

Happy Friday, Ya'll! We've had such an unproductive week, there's not much to report from T.A.T H.Q.
We're trying to get back into the swing of things, but to be honest, wedding planning is taking all of our brainpower. Aaaand Esme's hair is falling out. That's a fun side effect to planning the happiest day of our lives. We have a date in mind, but we're still undecided on what kind of celebration we want to have. Casual & Low-key in SF STILL cost thousands and thousands of dollars.  Each second, P+E getting hitched alone on a mountaintop is looking better and better.

Here's a funny article on getting "Engraged". That first example pretty much sums up this week perfectly: http://apracticalwedding.com/2009/11/if-youre-not-engraged-youre-not-paying/.

But in the midst of venue visits and scouting missions, we did have THIS nice little distraction:
Welcome to our little home, Mac! We've been waiting a long time for you!

We're so excited about our new toy & can't wait to organize our photos & music & watch movies from our bed!

& please wish us luck that we FINALLY make a decision this weekend...so we can resume our regularly scheduled lives.

TGIF

Hi Friends! Happy Friday! We hope 2011’s been good to you thus far!

It’s been a nutty week @ TAT HQ; we had a great staycation just across town at Jonah + Staci’s house.  Tanner the Beagle was a good boy, with the exception of devouring a tin of Christmas Cookies & eating an empty takeout box. We also got a taste of what it’s like to live in a bigger space, & boy-oh-boy, does our apartment feel even smaller now! We’ve been scouting new places to call home in the Bay Area & are itchin’ to move in February or March. Especially with our new house guests, the termites! Gross, indeed!

We got some hang time with Ms. Katie, who has had a crazy travel schedule this season. She surprised us by giving us a rad in-home veggie garden! Thanks, Katie!
Last night was date night at Ragazza. It was wonderful to NOT talk about wedding plans & just have a good time together. We ate our pizza in peace, & it was just what we needed.

Esme leaves for a two-week work trip to Europe on Monday, so this weekend is going to be spent packing, cleaning up & buying a bunch of cute mini travel-size things she loves so much. Although Pete’s gonna miss the “everlovin’ sheeeeeeeit outta” her, he’ll surely find plenty to do & looks forward to having the tiny apartment to himself for 12 days. It'll seem like a palace without a second person around!

We’ll try to update the blog with scenes from Brussels & Paris over the next couple of weeks. For now, have a great weekend & Au Revoir!

Happy Friday!

Hey y'all! So sorry we've been a quiet pair this week. You missed us, didn't you! Esme's adjusting to a new schedule (with a boss in Brussels, her mornings just started a lot earlier), & Pete paid his dues with Monday's post...so our energy and creativity levels haven't been tip top as of late. We're gearing up for a very, very busy weekend and hope to have lots of fun photos to share on Monday. Enjoy those ugly sweater parties, kids! We'll see you next week.

Oh. and here. Have a snowy puppy.

Happy Friday!

GAH! We've been terrible this week! Esme's been researching wedding stuff non-stop, & Pete just shouted from the other room that he hasn't had the most interesting week. So, hopefully this stuff makes up for it.

Here's what Esme's been peepin' on the internet & postin' on Twitter:

I love the idea of wearing one of these Lela Rose dresses in lieu of a "traditional" wedding dress.

Welp someone bought the kitty sweater I was coveting yesterday. Good for PrettySnake! First peeped on Refinery29's stylie intern here.

Aaron Straup Cope's rendition is a nice change from the typical Bay Area map.

Pete found this a couple of weeks ago and I thought it was the cutest thing, albeit not the most practical cheese grater. I can't seem to find where to buy it. If y'all know, hook us up!

want want want wantwantwant! That is all.

And finally, a new Arcade Fire video for your pleasure (which may look familiar if you've seen them live on their tour for "The Suburbs"). It's directed by Spike Jonze.

Have a happy weekend! See you (more frequently) next week!

Happy Friday!

Woo! What a week! We can't say that it was particularly enjoyable; I spent the night in the ER after having a pretty mean shellfish allergy attack. My lips swelled to Botoxical proportions. I had hives everywhere! It was pretty crazy.

Pete sat with me and held my hand while my fear of needles was put to the test, multiple times. Although I would rather not have had to endure all that's happened this week, it's times like these that remind me how lucky I am to have him. Especially cause he still loves me, even though I looked like this for two days:
*eep!*

We're so grateful and excited for this weekend! Have a wonderful one yourself, reader! xo

Saipua

Happy Friday, Reader!

How pretty are these Saipua soaps? Pete likes the paper so much, he saved it when I unwrapped our first bar (aww).

They smell delicious, too. I had them sitting out on our mantle for a few days before I photographed them, and our house smelled lovely!

Saipua is based in Brooklyn, but hopefully you're lucky enough to have a store nearby that carries them, like Prairie Collective.

Tee Gee Eye Eff!

GOSH! We have been quiet this week! Pete & I have had a busy workweek & totally neglected our reader(s?)!!! We have so much to say & share, so many fun weekend stuffs pics & interesting articles, it's a shame when real life gets in the way, isn't it?!

How do you like the new banner pic? Our cute-as-a-button friend, Elizabeth Ray, was kind enough to take a few photos of the silly tigers around SF last weekend. It felt almost like a mini engagement shoot! & since we didn't want to spoil ourselves for when we actually do take engagement shots (*ahem*...) we decided to go with the feets pic :)  Thank you, Eray!

Here's a couple of our favorites + a funny pic of Pete. Have a grrrrreat weekend!

xoxo

Enjoy Your (Long) Weekend!

Happy Friday, and Happy Labor Day Weekend!

P+E totally forgot it was Labor Day until early this week, so, sadly, no plans were made.
{Remember last year we were HERE...& wowee, what a way to spend a weekend!}
We're thinking of starting a tradition where every Labor Day Weekend, we must do something outside, preferably in the mountains. This lovely project by Jelle Martens definitely helps to inspire.
Wherever you end up, Enjoy your long weekend!

Lucky 13

Happy Friday the 13th!
And Welcome, Weekend...we're looking forward to you!
Today's the last weekday of Pete's FUNemployment adventure;
on Monday, he'll be a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed Assistant Account Executive. That has a nice ring to it!

To mark this special, oh-so-very welcome occasion, I took Pete out last night for some yummy sushi
(thanks to Living Social for one helluva deal, too!!) at Tsunami.
 ain't he cute!?

Tonight, we're headed to Santa Cruz to have dinner with my Aunt Anna and Cousin Megan
before heading to see the SPIN DOCTORS at the Beach Boardwalk! Um, yes we're totally serious... Hello, 1992! We missed you!
Here's a blast from the past we're really looking forward to singing along to later tonight:

Doesn't this look like a pleasant way to spend a Saturday?

A happy weekend to y'all!

Happy Friday

Esme here, on my last day of vacation. Humbug...

Sorry we've been quiet this week - Pete's been MIA & my week as a "housewife" was not all it was cracked up to be. I'm not doing laundry again for a long time. In hindsight, I should have gone to visit the girls in Seattle. I'm not going to make the mistake of not spontaneously buying plane tickets ever again (Bumbershoot, here I come!)!

In an effort to get life situated before I start the new job, I've been organizing my website faves & files all week (along with everything else in our apartment), happening upon sites I haven't visited in a while...& here are some things that have made me smile. I hope they do the same for you!

My friend Dan Pasquini ("Squeenie") sent me the link to his wedding photos:

Aren't they great? What a lovely couple! And I love this dessert table.
Their wedding took place in New Orleans, which reminded me of little miss Eray's website. She's been a busy gal lately!

Both of these photographers' sites make me want to....visit New Orleans! You though I was gonna say something else, huh...

And this website makes me want to kick Pete in the behind to take more engagement photos:
I've been seeing this chalkboard trend for a while now, and want to hang them all over the house!

Well, back to my chores. Have a Happy Friday!

Friday, May 21

It's Friday! All Day!

Hey y'all! Happy Friday!

Here are some things that make us happy today:

Leftover pizza from Little Star

The sun is (still sorta) shining in San Francisco. Well, it's not raining, at least...

This adorable blog post and video of Mary's niece Elliot at the Dixon May Fair.

KEXP is broadcasting LIVE all day from Matt's West Seattle store, Easy Street Records!

Esme's $CHA CHING$ pedicure is still going strong!

Our friend Mick's hilarious tumblr! *He's taking submissions, ladies!*

These BEAUTIFUL photos of (what looks to be) the wedding of the century from feather love photography, also featured in the NYT. We scrolled through them last night & couldn't help but wish for a wedding this spectacularly awesome someday. Bonus: Esme went to preschool & beyond with the bride, and can vouch she's pretty rad!

This amazing young hula hooper, Leah Hurd. So talented & such a sweetheart!

We hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Friday, May 14

HAPPY Friday...PLEASE!

Could this week have been any longer? SHEESH! Friday, we haven't been this happy to see you in a long time.

Enjoy your weekend. & Here. Have some Beyonce. Sounds like she had a bad week, too!
p.s. DAYUM!! Holy Hot Costumes!

Happy Friday

It's a balmy 70 degrees & delightfully sunny here in San Francisco today. It's pretty hard not to be overjoyed in this kind of weather, but just in case the weather where you are isn't cutting it, here is a picture of a skateboarding owl to bring you up to our level.

This is Albie the owl. He's English.
